Within the Digital Out of Home industry ads are displayed in a loop / Share of Time (1 time every 60 seconds) or based on impressions. Every time an ad is displayed this is called a Play/ Playout. When running a campaign on impressions the publishers delivers the ads dynamically over the chosen screens or network of screens. Making it impossible for an advertiser to check if the campaign is running and delivering as aspected. With proof of play the Advertiser is able to take back the control on reporting of Digital Out Home campaigns
In the Digital Out Of Home industry we talk about Playouts versus Impressions. Playouts are the times an ad is displayed and impressions are the amount of people that are likely to see that ad. 1 impression = 1 real person.
When uploading ads into the Confirm platform they are being wrapped with our own secret technology. This technology signals every time an ad is being displayed on the screens and connects that to the publishers impression data for full reporting
Confirm works together with Publishers in any local market to establish a trustworthy relationship on sharing the audience data. This way Confirm always reports on the same data as the publishers optimize their campaigns with.
Confirm establishes a direct connection with the ad that is played on the publisher’s screen. If there is no internet connection it may be that the data comes in a little bit later. But in any other case the data is as real time as it gets.
